Essaouira

​​A slideshow of 170 colour and monochrome images of candid and portrait street photography and other street scenes captured in the small Moroccan Atlantic coastal town of Essaouira. This collection encompasses four separate winter visits; in 1992, 2008 and twice in 2016. The accompanying soundtrack includes the tunes 'Dieuf' and 'Touba' written by Youssoupha Sidibe, both solo performances on the kora and are used with his kind permission. Although not a Moroccan instrument, Kora music can be heard very often in the medina (duration 14:25).​
